Pfizer Prefers McgarryBowen Over Mccann For Assigning Chantix Contract
Date: 2nd February 2009
According to a recent disclosure, Pfizer Incl., the maker of the quit smoking medicine Chantix, has reportedly passed on Chantix contract to the advertising agency McgarryBowen while finishing its previous Chantix contract with McCann HumanCare. However, as made apparent by Pfizer`s director of worldwide communications Sally Beatty, it is known that even after the takeover of Chantix creative task by McgarryBowen, the chantix advertisement made by McCann that features a hare and tortoise, would continue to appear throughout the initial years of 2009.
The report on McgarryBowen taking over Chantix work was recently surfaced at “Adweek”, the American advertising publication. As revealed by a Pfizer spokesperson to Adweek, the pharmaceutical company selected McgarryBowen for chantix promotion because this agency presented specific novel ideas on chantix marketing that were considered to be the best thoughts for fulfilling the requirements of the brand.
